Adobe ColdFusion versions July 12 release (2018.0.0.310739), Update 6 and earlier, and Update 14 and earlier have an unrestricted file upload vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.

An issue was discovered in Joomla! before 3.8.12. Inadequate checks in the InputFilter class could allow specifically prepared phar files to pass the upload filter.

Attackers can use the web interface to read and write data to any file on disk (as long as rlm.exe has access to it) via /goform/edit_lf_process with file content in the lfdata parameter and a pathname in the lf parameter. By default, the web interface is on port 5054, and does not require authentication. NOTE: the vendor has stated “We do not consider this a vulnerability.”
