A deserialization vulnerability existed in dubbo 2.7.5 and its earlier versions, which could lead to malicious code execution. Most Dubbo users use Hessian2 as the default serialization/deserialization protool, during Hessian2 deserializing the HashMap object, some functions in the classes stored in HasMap will be executed after a series of program calls, however, those special functions may cause remote command execution. For example, the hashCode() function of the EqualsBean class in rome-1.7.0.jar will cause the remotely load malicious classes and execute malicious code by constructing a malicious request. This issue was fixed in Apache Dubbo 2.6.9 and 2.7.8.

The affected product is vulnerable to the handling of serialized data. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in deserialization of untrusted data on the Ignition 8 Gateway (versions prior to 8.0.10) and Ignition 7 Gateway (versions prior to 7.9.14), allowing an attacker to obtain sensitive information.

A specially crafted communication packet sent to the affected devices could allow remote code execution and a denial-of-service condition due to a deserialization vulnerability. This issue affects: Mitsubishi Electric MC Works64 version 4.02C (10.95.208.31) and earlier, all versions; Mitsubishi Electric MC Works32 version 3.00A (9.50.255.02); ICONICS GenBroker64, Platform Services, Workbench, FrameWorX Server version 10.96 and prior; ICONICS GenBroker32 version 9.5 and prior.

Apache Camel RabbitMQ enables Java deserialization by default. Apache Camel 2.22.x, 2.23.x, 2.24.x, 2.25.0, 3.0.0 up to 3.1.0 are affected. 2.x users should upgrade to 2.25.1, 3.x users should upgrade to 3.2.0.
